Did You Know I Wrote About the Alaskan Klee Kai for Edition DOG Magazine?

Edition Dog Magazine

Last year, my article on the Alaskan Klee Kai was published in Edition DOG Magazine, Issue 67.

I'm genuinely proud of this. Getting published in a respected canine publication feels like a meaningful milestone, and I wanted to take a moment to celebrate it properly.

The piece explores this distinctive northern breed: their origins in Alaska, their intelligence and energy levels, what life with them really looks like, and the health considerations prospective owners should know about. It was a joy to research and write.

Why Writing for the Canine Industry Matters

Being published in Edition DOG isn't just about the byline (though that does feel brilliant). It's about staying actively engaged with the wider dog world.

When you work behind the scenes supporting canine businesses, it's easy to become disconnected from the industry itself. Writing about breeds, training methods, welfare topics, or emerging trends keeps me grounded in what's actually happening in the canine community.

It reminds me why this work matters.

It helps me understand the pressures, conversations, and changes affecting the professionals I support. When a dog trainer mentions breed-specific challenges, or a behaviourist talks about the latest research, or a nutritionist references new guidelines, I'm not starting from scratch. I'm already part of that conversation.

That context makes a real difference when supporting canine businesses. I'm not just managing inboxes or building webinars in a vacuum. I understand what those emails are about. I know why that course topic matters. I recognise the language, the seasonal rhythms, the client questions that come up again and again.

Why This Benefits the Professionals I Work With

Canine professionals deserve support from someone who genuinely understands their industry.

You need a virtual assistant who knows what CPD stands for without asking. Someone who recognises why your diary gets chaotic in January or why certain client enquiries need careful handling. Someone who can proofread your course content and spot when terminology doesn't quite land, or when a webinar title could be clearer.

Staying engaged with canine publications, attending industry events, and writing about dogs isn't separate from the admin support I provide. It's foundational to it.

When I'm coordinating a behaviourist's referral system, managing a trainer's webinar bookings, or helping a nutritionist organise their consultation process, that industry knowledge means I can work more intuitively. I ask better questions. I anticipate needs. I communicate with your clients in a way that reflects your professionalism.

It also means I can collaborate more effectively. If you're building an online course about separation anxiety or reactivity or canine nutrition, I'm not just uploading slides. I understand what you're teaching and why it matters. That makes the whole process smoother.

Celebrating the Work That Connects Us

Getting published reminds me why I chose to specialise in supporting canine professionals rather than offering general VA services.

This industry is full of people who care deeply about animal welfare, education, and doing things properly. The professionals I work with are skilled, thoughtful, and committed.

They've invested years in training, experience, and continuous learning.

VA Services

But they're also often overwhelmed by the operational demands of running a business.

That's the work I love doing. Not because admin is inherently exciting (let's be honest), but because it creates space for canine professionals to do what they trained for. To work with dogs. To help clients. To share knowledge. To build something meaningful.

Writing for Edition DOG and staying connected to the canine community helps me do that work better.

Let's Talk About What's Happening Behind the Scenes

If you're running a canine business and finding the operational side increasingly difficult to manage, I'd be happy to have a conversation about what support might look like.

I offer a free Canine Business Admin Health Check where we look at what's working, what's not, and where practical support could make the biggest difference.

No pressure. No obligation. Just a conversation between two people who understand the canine industry.

Or simply get in touch to discuss whether ongoing virtual assistant support or one-off project work might help.

Little Wolf CS provides executive assistant and operational support exclusively for UK-based canine professionals. If you're a dog trainer, behaviourist, vet, groomer, or canine educator who needs admin help, booking system support, webinar setup, or general business operations assistance, let's talk.
